Cars parked by automatic valet in France
Travellers at France’s Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport can now have their car parked by an automated valet called Stan.
Developed by tech start-up Stanley Robotics, the valet robot comes to collect the vehicle and take it to a secure car near the terminal after the customer has dropped it off.
The valet system is connected to the passenger’s flight details, which means it is ready when the return from overseas.
Stanley Robotics says it took two years for its engineers to design the robot.
“This 100% electronic technology can be adapted to all types of vehicles and used in all situations. This system gives car park users a nice, quick and easy experience,” the company says.
“For car park managers, parking cars closer together means the robot increases car park capacities by up to 50%, without changing existing infrastructure.”
