For dealers, it has called on Chelsea Sexton – an EV expert and advocate from the United States – to help them with the art of selling the vehicles in a course scheduled for next month.
She will cover everything from how to engage with potential customers and explain the advantages of an electric car, what information customers need and how to engage them about parts and after-market care.
From a technical perspective, the organisation has teamed up with automotive trainers, AECS to offer a three-hour introduction course in high voltage systems.
It will help staff work safely on a hybrid or electric vehicle.
The course looks at how to make a high voltage vehicle and battery safe, take an HV battery apart and other practical safety aspects.
