Tesla triples global service capacity

In anticipation of a jump in customers with the imminent introduction of the Model 3, Tesla will triple its worldwide service capacity.

That includes the introduction of 100 new service centres globally , adding to its existing base of more than 150.

It is also adding more than 350 new service vans this year, along with 1400 technician roles.

The company expects quick turnaround times and same day appointments in some markets because 90% of issues can be diagnosed remotely.
