Scientists from Stanford University have made a significant step towards wirelessly charging electric vehicles.
The theory is that a coil on the bottom of a car could receive electricity from coils connected to an electric current in the road, CleanTechnica reports.
Currently the Stanford team can wirelessly transfer enough electricity to power a 1-milliwatt LED bulb.
