Electric scooter from Vespa early next year
Vespa brings out an electric scooter early next year.
The Vespa Elletrica includes a range extender model, the X, with a petrol generator and three litre tank boosting the bike’s range up to 193km.
Details were announced at the Eicma show in Milan from November 7-12.

Designed for urban roads, the Vespa Elletrica can deliver continuous power of 2kW and peak power of 4kW, Vespa parent company the Piaggio Group says.
The battery pack will enable “at least 100km” of range, the company says. It can be charged from a standard outlet or level 2 charging and takes about four hours.
Speed, riding mode, range remaining and battery charge are included in the dash display.
Calls and messages can also displayed by connecting a smartphone.
The e-scooter will have a chrome grey finish with electric blue highlights.
