According to a tweet from Musk on January 27, the new Tesla Sentry Mode will play Bach’s Toccata and Fugue during a robbery, while the car records the miscreant burglars through the dashboard mounted camera.

Dog Mode will allow people to leave their pets in the vehicle with the air-conditioning and stereo working, and will display a message on the central dash screen to passers by that the dog is perfectly fine and the owner will return to the vehicle shortly.

Sounds like a bit of shaggy dog story to us, but no doubt if the system works effectively, it will be a boon for pet owners in hot climates.

Thats what i have done when shopping. I have a Nissan Leaf and have left our little dog in the car with the air con going. Works fine, although anyone passing by and seeing the dog in the car with all the windows up could get a bit concerned.
