Daimler board extends marketing boss contract to 2024

The female management board member in charge of the sales and marketing operation for Mercedes-Benz Cars across the globe will now continue in the role until December 31, 2024.

Britta Seeger (49) joined Daimler in 1989 and has worked her way up the corporate ladder from the customer care department, to running the brands operations in Korea and Turkey before she was appointed to the management board in 2017.

Her management board contract extension was ratified by the Daimler AG supervisory board on February 13.

It says Mercedes-Benz Cars marketing and sales is a key function in the group as it is the most important link between the company and the customer.

“We are very happy to continue working with Britta Seeger,” says the Daimler AG supervisory board chair person Manfred Bischoff.

He says Seeger is setting important strategic guideposts on the way to the sales of the future and driving forward digitisation, to offer customers the best overall package.

“She is leading the marketing and sales of Mercedes-Benz Cars with great success. In the past year, Mercedes-Benz Cars achieved another sales record in a challenging environment and the brand is once again at the top of the global premium segment,” says Bischoff.
