EVs on show at Frankton Thunder
It wasn’t all noise at the Frankton Thunder roadshow in Hamilton with electric vehicles making a quiet impression on March 10.
The fourth annual show’s range of bikes, cars, military vehicles, steampunk and more included a Tesla Owners Club display, two Zero electric motorbikes, EV City’s cut in half Nissan Leaf “X Ray” and a range of other EVs such as Hyundai’s Ioniq and Kona cars and a BMW i3.
Support for the St Vincent De Paul fundraiser came from the Hamilton Electric Vehicle centre and the Better NZ Trust.
Waikato EV Group co-ordinator and Electric Vehicle Association of Aotearoa member Justin Boyd says the turnout of vehicles and people was “amazing”.
