Auckland City Electric Vehicles (ACEV) officially opened its new showroom in Takapuna on June 15.

Owners Hadley Hargadon and Alana Clarke moved to a larger, fully indoor showroom to cater for their electric vehicles.

Guests were treated to snacks, coffee and freshly made juice as they wandered around the new 900 square metre indoor showroom at 83 Barrys Point Road. ACEV’s move from nearby Anzac Street provides more space to display a bigger EV selection.

Hargadon and Clarke are pleased with Saturday’s turnout. Most visitors were seriously considering buying an EV, Clarke says.

ACEV is a division of Allan Clarke Motors Ltd, an Albany dealership with the famous phrase ‘only 12 minutes north of the bridge in Albany.’ Allan Clarke joins his daughter and son-in-law as a silent partner.

“Now, we can say we’re only two minutes north of the bridge in Takapuna,” laughs Alana Clarke.ACEV3
