Arnold Schwarzenegger goes undercover as a used car salesman flogging gas-guzzling cars to ‘unsuspecting’ EV customers in a hilarious YouTube clip rapidly going viral.

Posing as salesman ‘Howard Kleiner’, the former California governor and ‘Terminator’ actor partners with California non-profit EV promoter Veloz to extoll EVs’ virtues – by trying to sell people the opposite.

With fake moustache and hair plus sales paraphernalia, Kleiner stars in the ‘Kicking Gas’ clip with a few typical Schwarzenegger one-liners.

Kleiner drives a smoky Hummer out for an EV hunting couple to view, telling them it’s ‘testosterone’ and that he loves the exhaust smell.

He tells one older woman that pumping gas is sometimes better than sex – to her horror.Arnold Schwarzenegger Kicking Gas 3

And Kleiner reckons gas-guzzlers are doing their bit to help the world by creating pollution to curb population growth.

He even has fake bumper stickers ‘car lanes are for sissies’ and answers one customer’s query with “do you want a tax credit or street credit?”

When customers fed up with Kleiner’s style ask to see his supervisor, Schwarzenegger returns in a different hair piece, mo and clothing as ‘Harry’, although one child points out “it’s the same man”.Arnold Schwarzenegger Kicking Gas 4

All this from the man who helped pioneer an electric Hummer.

The ‘Kicking Gas’ campaign is expected to feature in other social media and on Californian billboards.
