Yoogo Share introduces OneWay trips in Christchurch

OneWay trips can now be booked in Yoogo Share EVs between Christchurch Airport and two of its downtown Christchurch locations.

The electric car share service says OneWay trips are cheaper than using Uber or a taxi, “and with 90 minutes travel time included in the $22 rate, drivers have the freedom to do things like have meetings, pick-up passengers or run errands on the way”.

Yoogo Share’s Christchurch Airport pick-up and drop-off location is two minutes from the terminal, located within the airports Rideshare Zone, so the location is as convenient as an Uber or taxi. With a guaranteed pick-up and drop-off location so close to the gates and no parking costs, the new OneWay service will appeal to regular business travellers travelling in and out of the city, and to Cantabrians heading away on holidays.

The introduction of a OneWay service from Yoogo Share follows the launch of an after-hours subscription service which offers members an electric Hyundai Ioniq or BMW i3 for as little as $99 a week.

The only car sharing service in New Zealand solely offering battery electric vehicles (BEVs), Yoogo Share members have so far clocked up almost 180 tonnes of carbon emission savings by driving their shared fleet instead of similar ICE vehicles.
