Loop Carshare goes live

Loop Carshare has officially launched and is available to all business and public users in Hamilton.
Loop Carshare is Hamilton’s first carsharing app. Users will need the app from the App store or Playstore and follow the sign-up process to use.
The app allows you to book, access and pay for Loop Carshare vehicles simply through the app on your phone.
There are 10 cars in Hamilton central, with more to come.
Loop Carshare says it charges less than a Lime scooter by the minute – Limes charge 30 cents per minute.
Ebbett Toyota chief executive Richard van den Engel says he is thrilled to see Loop Carshare to live in Hamilton.
“Times are a changin’ and we’re all looking for more sustainable, more convenient and more affordable ways to get around,” van den Engel says.
“Sharing a car is a great way to nail all three – give it a go and enjoy the ride!”
For a limited time, Loop Carshare is offering to credit the $20 sign-up validation fee into your Loop account, so it is free to become a member.
“Whether you’re a business looking to access a better value and more flexible fleet solution or just looking for transport at a moments’ notice, then car sharing is for you,” Loop Carshare says in a LinkedIn post.
One carshare vehicle can remove up to 10 personal vehicles from the road, according to Loop Carshare’s website.
