Range is estimated at 450km for the Turbo and 412km for the Turbo S.

The Taycan is able to be charged from 5% to 80% in just over 20 minutes and topped up in about five minutes.

Porsche held its unveiling simultaneously in three countries representing various forms of renewable energy – Berlin (solar) in Germany, Pingtan Island (wind) in China and Niagara Falls (hydroelectric), Canada.

The Taycan has a new all-wheel-drive system having control within each of the dual motors, said to give it more agility, and it sports a two-speed gearbox and high regenerative braking.
