Volvo to reveal electric XC40 live

Volvo will be revealing its first electric car, the electric XC40.
On October 17, 5:30am NZDT Volvo will reveal the XC40 and also present the company’s strategic direction towards a more sustainable future.
Speakers include Volvo Car Group chief executive and president Hakan Samuelsson, chief technology officer Henrik Green, EMEA region and global commercial operations Bjorn Annwall and head of procurement Martina Buchhauser.
Volvo has released details of its electric XC40. The company describes it as one of the safest cars on the road. The battery’s placement in the car floor also lowers the car’s centre of gravity for better protection against roll-overs.
Volvo has added a new driver interface, designed for EVs, which keeps drivers up to date on relevant information like battery status.
