Mazda reveals first mass EV, Nissan and Lexus unveil latest

Mazda put its first mass-production EV up, Nissan offered its Ariya Concept EV and the Lexus LF-30 is revealed at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show.

Few relevant details seem to be available for them, other than the Mazda MX-30 having 35.5kWh battery capacity, the Ariya a crossover EV with twin electric motors, and the Lexus LF-30 with 110kWh battery capacity.

Almost nothing except design features and sustainable materials is provided about the Mazda MX-30, while Nissan also waxes lyrical about its design, driver assistance features and vehicle-to-home (V2H) and grid (V2G) links but little else.

More is revealed about the Lexus LF-30, the EV having 400kW power output and 700Nm torque, 500km range, a 200km/h top speed, and able to do 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds.

Lexus says its BEV model will follow in November and that it aims to have an electrified version of every model by 2025.

The Tokyo Motor Show is open to the public from October 24 to November 4.
