Tesla intends starting Gigafactory 4 construction as early as January 2020 and has reportedly reached a purchase price with landowners for 300 hectares.

About 250,000 cars starting with the Model Y, are expected initially, reaching 500,000 and 750,000 in second and third phases respectively produced and distributed in Europe.

Gigafactory 4 was announced by Tesla chief executive Elon Musk in November at a Berlin awards ceremony where the Model 3 was Best Midsize Car in the country.

Meanwhile, reports from China suggest Tesla will have a job fair on December 28, 2019, for Gigafactory 3 production line positions at the 85-hectare factory site in Shanghai.

Tesla aims to deliver the first China-made Model 3 to local customers by January, planning to produce about 250,000 annually initially, doubling that eventually.
