Mercedes-Benz Cars is NZ’s top luxury car brand
Mercedes-Benz Cars is once again the number one luxury vehicle manufacturer in the New Zealand market.
Last year, Mercedes-Benz Cars sold 2045 new cars and SUVs, and marks the fifth consecutive year in the top position.
Lance Bennett took on the role of general manager of Mercedes-Benz Cars mid last year, contributing to its result.
“It was another busy year for Mercedes-Benz Cars, with more than 10 new models and variants launched,” Bennett says. “We have seen strong growth with our SUVs including the new GLC, GLE and GLS models.”
Bennett says a highlight was launching the new GLE SUV, which arrived last year.
“It promises to be another exciting year in 2020, with the first stock having arrived of our first pure-electric vehicle, the EQC SUV. Following this, the highly anticipated new Mercedes-AMG A 45 S is due to arrive in New Zealand, bringing with it the most powerful four-cylinder engine ever fitted to a standard production car.
“Among other exciting new products are the radically restyled GLA SUV, a facelifted E-Class range and the all-new GLB SUV.
“This further diversification and expansion of our SUV range will help us to keep ahead of the competitors in the luxury segment, and we hope to finish another year as number one in 2020.”
