It’s studying how organisations, business confidence and projects already underway have been affected.

“While we recognise that the full impacts of COVID-19 are not yet fully known, our objective is to better understand how everyone has been affected, so that we may identify common experiences key learnings and opportunities for the future as New Zealand works towards transport goals, riding out a recession and restarting the economy.”

Meanwhile, ITS NZ presents an online presentation On-Demand Transport: A safe, flexible Public Transport solution for a COVID-19 world on April 26, with a recap and question and answer session on April 28 at 12.30pm.

Ben Hague of on-demand leaders Via in Australia and Jeremy Dickson of Environment Canterbury explore how COVID-19 is impacting transport models, personal protection for essential workers and restricted travel, and changes in the transport supply chain for essential goods and services.
