Video: Elon Musk tells Joe Rogan why he’s selling his possessions

Tesla chief executive Elon Musk has done a second interview with Joe Rogan after Musk appeared to smoke cannabis during his first such interview.

This time Musk explains why he wants to rid himself of most possessions (apart from his Tesla), particularly his “bunch of” homes, saying he’ll probably rent instead.

Musk has already listed two Los Angeles homes, one formerly used by late Hollywood actor Gene Wilder which Musk talks about on Rogan’s show.

He’d prefer living on Mars if possible.

In his tweets, Musk says he’s doesn’t need the cash (he’s nearing a US$725 million payday anyway) and is devoting himself to Mars and Earth. “Possessions just weigh you down.”

He also tells Rogan how to pronounce his son’s name X Æ A-12, the baby recently born to Musk’s partner Canadian singer Grimes (real name Claire Boucher).
