Police check Tesla Fremont factory after reopening

The Fremont Police Department inspected the Tesla factory in the Californian state on May 13 after Tesla chief executive Elon Musk reopened it in defiance of COVID-19 public health orders.

The Alameda County health authorities then approved the factory’s reopening for some – but not all – production.

“We are allowing Tesla to ramp up from Minimum Business Operations in order to prepare for operations next week,” county health officials told CNBC.

Whether any charges will be laid against Tesla hasn’t yet been determined.
