Deal for rights on eMC EVs in Australia and NZ

Exclusive rights for distribution, sales and servicing of eMC’s EMoS branded EVs for Australia and New Zealand go to Ride Sports Pty (RS) under a memorandum of understanding with e-Motions Concepts (eMC).

The first retail and showroom opening for EMoS branded light electric vehicles (LEVs) is at Nibble Bikes in Brisbane, the showroom officially opening on October 30.

RS is a Brisbane company that has been a major supplier of electric bicycles for commercial deliveries, including Domino’s Pizza Enterprises as a key client, with a fleet of more than 2500 e-bikes in Australia alone.

“We see the expansion of our portfolio to include the EMoS products as a logical step in offering electric transport solutions that go beyond electric bicycles and fill a gap in the commercial delivery space, but also provide alternative transport options for commuters,” RS chief executive Rian Bell says.

Brisbane company eMC operates under the EMoS brand as an importer and manufacturer of LEVs for transporting people and goods.

During the past three years EMoS has developed a substantial product offering ranging from personal mobility devices (PMDs) to a number of offerings in the e-moped and e-motorcycle space, including commercial applications for transporting of goods  being the CT-Kargo and CT-Kube vehicles.

EMoS recently extended the product range to include a chopper inspired e-moped called Wyld which will also be distributed by RS through the eMC-RS agreement.

“Having an agreement with Ride Sports, offering a national footprint for distribution and service, is an important partnership that will provide customers with the service and support of a well-established and experienced company,” eMC chief executive Harry Proskefalas says.

Both parties agree the synergies, commitment and integrity in the partnership are a perfect recipe to become the premier provider of LEVs in Australia.

“We are excited to expand our product offering with the well curated EMoS product offering, that does not only provide exciting LEVs but also vehicles that will enable novel delivery and transport solutions that potentially lead to new and innovative business models,” RS operations head Tony Blackshaw says.

Founder and chief technical officer of eMC Wolfgang Roffmann says: “RS and eMC have a common goal, to make LEVs a universal way of transporting goods and people and providing not only higher efficiencies for private and commercial users, but also do it with less emissions, quieter and easing congestion.”

RS and eMC will develop the LEV transport business by engaging with businesses for fleet sales and identify potential retail outlets for the more personal transport vehicles.

The first is Nibble Bikes at 40 Waterloo Street in Newstead, established by Jess and Paul Halhead who have a long history in the automotive car financing industry and have recently developed a keen interest in LEVs.

They hope the showroom will be the first of many across Australia.
