Countdown to May eworld expo

New Zealand’s e-mobility and sustainable technologies event eworld is shaping up for The Trusts Arena in Henderson, Auckland, on Friday May 7 (trade expo) and Saturday May 8 (public day).

A conference runs on May 6 and 7, while the trade day and public day expo include displays and free seminars – both expected to attract thousands of people.

The expo is free to attend, showcasing a wide range of EVs including cars, vans and trucks, along with associated infrastructure with sustainable technologies, event organiser Conferenz says.

Trade day seminars (May 7) will focus on the different elements when transitioning to an electric fleet.

Public day seminars (May 8) include information with short, sharp insights into the different elements of owning an EV, along with other information such as converting your house to a smart home, energy consumption and topical subjects like EV sharing.

It’s an opportunity to learn from the experts – all under one roof.

Test drives will be available and visitors can also try out various e-mobility forms such as e-bikes, e-mopeds and e-scooters.

Show specials and prizes are also offered while Kiwi rally ace Hayden Paddon is expected to showcase his EV rally car based on a Hyundai Kona Electric and the electric Harley-Davidson LiveWire will be displayed.

Exhibitor TransNet is offering a specialised electrician-focussed look at EVSE installation, while EVs and Beyond will be there too.

It’s not too late to book for the two-day conference, the event serving as a focal point to grow the EV fleet in New Zealand and drive toward a more sustainable transport environment.

It will focus on two key factors.

Decarbonising New Zealand’s transport system is the theme for the first day which will cover climate change.

The conference’s second day concentrates on transitioning to an electric fleet with ease.
