New Clean Car information online at MoT

An overview of the Clean Car programme has been published on the Te Manatu Waka Ministry of Transport website.

That’s along with an independent comparison of New Zealand’s recently enacted CO2 vehicle targets against those of other countries and an assessment of their feasibility.

This complements the full Clean Car Discount scheme that starts in April and provides rebates and fees to consumers based on the vehicle they buy.

The MoT also provides weekly and monthly EV stats and covers other rule changes applying to vehicles, such as the new “Vehicle Efficiency and Emission Data” and “Vehicle Energy Economy Label” which apply from April.
