Are used Tesla Model 3 sales increasing as Model Y date nears?

More Tesla Model 3 EVs appear to be offered for sale secondhand as interest grows in the Model Y SUV with deliveries due from August.
The Model 3 was among the most popular EVs on Trade Me during May – alongside the Nissan Leaf and BMW i3, says Trade Me Motors sales director Jayme Fuller.
While 97 Model 3s are this week listed for sale on Trade Me, the company says it has so far been unable to analyse the data accurately.
However, Fuller says there’s been a 50% increase in EVs listed onsite last month compared with May last year, EV watchlists in May have risen 52% year-on-year, EV list viewings are up 28% in May compared to the same time last year, and the average price of an EV onsite dropped by 18% on April prices to $39,800 in May.
It appears to be a similar story in Australia where the Tesla Model 3 has been one of the most popular new cars, more now appearing for sale with the Model Y’s imminent arrival.
