Delorean reveals Alpha5 prototype

Delorean unveiled its Alpha5 coupe prototype at Monterey Car Week and expects to start producing it in 2024.
A reincarnation of the DMC brand from Back to the Future, Delorean’s Alpha5 shows a tech-filled interior and estimated specifications which include a more than 100kWh battery pack, 482km range, and a 250km/h top speed, but no pricing yet released.
A NZ$141.82 reservation applies for the vehicle and people can also join a “Delorean Club”.
EVs and Beyond featured earlier released photos of the EV.
The company has received significant criticism online, Teslarati reports.
“Most circles around the fact that the company has not yet secured a production facility or partnership to create the vehicle, which will be supposedly sold to customers in under two years. “Simultaneously, the company has faced new legal challenges as Karma Automotive has sued the brand for alleged intellectual property theft.”
