BYD Atto 3 first OTA updates arrive
The new BYD Atto 3 EV gets its first over-the-air (OTA) updates which will be rolled out to all customer cars during the next 10 days.
BYD says the OTA software updates improve the functionality and performance of the EV.
The new updates include Spotify, Maps, Voice Control and many technical improvements to enhance driving experience, says BYD Auto NZ brand manager Warren Willmot.
He says Apple Car Play and Android Auto will happen in a future update sometime before Christmas.
The two OTAs require the Atto 3 to be above at least 20% charge and are carried out by following prompts on the Di link display screen.
OTA 1.0.1 takes about 57 minutes and is followed by OTA 1.0.2 within 72 hours which takes about 27 minutes to upload.
Willmot says the Atto 3 is proving extremely popular in New Zealand.
