BYD Atto 3 hits 500 deliveries

“Extraordinary demand” has seen BYD Atto 3 deliveries reach 500 in three months.

BYD New Zealand has hit a major milestone, confirming 500 customer registrations, with many more presales to fill this month as shipments continue to arrive.

One of the fastest selling EV brands here and overseas, BYD had a record August globally with 174,915 “new energy vehicles” (NEVs) sold, including 18,625 sales of the Atto 3 –  up 282% on August 2021.

BYD is now offering the new “Parkour Red” colour option for pre-orders, tow bar fitment and a service plan three-year and six-year options across all BYD showrooms.

“Demand has completely exceeded our expectations and the speed at which we have reached 500 customer sales is monumental,” says BYD New Zealand brand manager Warren Willmot.

“I’m thrilled with the initial success and looking forward to the continued influence BYD has on the New Zealand NEV market.”

Pricing for the all-electric Atto 3 starts at $52,990 for the standard range and tops out at $57,990 for the extended range, plus on road costs. Both variants are also eligible for the current full EV Clean Car rebate of $8625.

The Atto 3 is comprehensively covered by a six-year/150,000km new vehicle warranty with six-year roadside assistance package, while the Blade Battery is covered by an eight-year/160,000km (whichever comes first) warranty.

It also has a tow capacity of 750kg braked and 75kg maximum tongue download, a new colour option, plus service plans increases.

Prospective buyers should contact a local BYD dealer to test drive and secure a vehicle now for delivery before the end of 2022.
