Pricing revealed for NZ’s 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 58kWh rear motor version is priced from $79,990 (including GST), and the 72.6kWH rear motor model has a $89,990 starting price.

The 72.6kWh all-wheel drive has two variations, Entry and Limited, priced at $97,990 and $111,990 (with Vision Roof) respectively.

While the new 77.4kWh all-wheel drive, only in the Limited model, is priced at $117,990 (with Vision Roof), says Hyundai New Zealand in revealing pricing for its 2023 Ioniq 5 midsize SUV, and specification upgrades to its Limited model, including a more powerful engine.

New technology in the Limited model includes a heads-up display with augmented reality, an internal plug to power household devices, and a larger battery option with a more powerful motor.

“The Ioniq 5 makes available today technology that New Zealand consumers will have thought was still in the future,” says Hyundai New Zealand chief executive Andy Sinclair.

It’s built on Hyundai Motor Group’s dedicated electric-global modular platform (E-GMP) BEV architecture.

Customers can select from three battery pack options – 58kWh, 72.6kWh and a new 77.4kWh battery (Limited model only), with four power outputs over two drive layouts, either with a rear motor only or with dual front and rear motors.

The top-of-the-line AWD option (72.6kWh or 77.4kWh) produces 225kW or 239kW power respectively, and 605 Nm torque. These configurations go from zero to 100km/h in 5.2 and 5.1 seconds respectively.

Range is about 481km in the 2WD with the 72.6kWh battery (WLTP).

The Ioniq 5 has the latest version of the Hyundai SmartSense advanced driver assistance system, which includes assistance for blind spot collision avoidance, forward-collision avoidance, lane keeping, lane following, rear cross-traffic avoidance, and smart cruise control and driver attention warnings.
