Tesla Model 3 most searched EV globally

The Tesla Model 3 had the biggest increase in interest by 50%, going from 11.6 million to 17.3 million searches just in three months.

That’s according to a research by US-based Cash for Clunkers which recently studied which EVs have had the most significant increase in interest during the past three months

It says the Tesla Model 3 leads the pack of the cars with the biggest increase in interest with 5.8 million in the three months. According to Google Trends, Denmark showed the biggest interest in the Tesla Model 3 contributing to the 50% jump in searches.

Audi’s e-tron GT is next, gaining a nearly two million rise in searches from an initial 4.2 million to more than 6.2 million, with Estonia the top trending location for this model.

The Porsche Taycan is third, gaining an additional 1.4 million searches with Norway displaying the highest interest in the Taycan.

Fourth is the Mercedes-Benz EQS, gathering 820,000 more searches, moving from nearly 3.5 million to more than 4.3 million with Finland displaying the biggest rise in searches for this luxury vehicle.

BMW’s iX ranks fifth, an increase from 1.7 million to 2.4 million searches, Norway again leading the searches.

Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 is sixth, gaining 749,000 more searches (from 3.3 million to more than four million), with Norway heading the trend.

Seventh is the Polestar 2, moving up from 2.3 million to almost 2.9 million, reflecting a near 24% search growth, Norway leading the rising interest for this car as well.

Volkswagen’s ID4, ranks eighth, rising by 526,000 searches and jumping from two million to 2.5 million, with Armenia showing the most interest.

Chevrolet’s Bolt EV is ninth, adding 437,000 to its initial 1.9 million searches and Canada showing the most interest in this model.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E finishes the top 10 list, climbing from 1.6 million to almost two million searches, with Norway again showing the most interest.
