Tesla tops most Googled stock search in Europe
Tesla is the most Googled stock searched for in Europe and is the top-searched in 28 countries.
Chinese automobile manufacturer Nio – which hit a December 12 production milestone of 300,000 EVs – was the most popular stock in four countries (Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, and Andorra).
Nio was the third most popular overall, according to research done by Finnish casino review site Bonusetu.com which analysed Google Trend results for each European country to determine the most popular stock.
Tesla topped the table with 71% of the highest search traffic dedicated to the automotive and clean energy company.
Of the 28 countries Tesla is the most popular in, Sweden, Netherlands, Denmark, and Finland make up almost half of all Tesla searches with Sweden at the front.
Tesla stock is at its lowest share price since December 2020, with its current market cap US$375.29 billion (a change of 66.30% in the last year, but with its next earnings report due on January 25, there is no telling what might happen next, says a Bonusetu.com spokesperson.
“We’re living in a time where information and education about the stock market is more accessible than ever. Not just on a national scale but a global one. People don’t have to look much further than their phones to learn the top lessons of Wall Street.
“It’s interesting to see how even though Tesla has its lowest share price since December 2020, it can still dominate the search results of 28 European countries.”
