Electrics at Fieldays

Landex and Etrucks will include a range of electric machines at its D24 site near the South Gate during the National Fieldays, June 14-17 at Mystery Creek.

That includes the New Zealand debut of its fully electric excavator the XE35U-E, and the XC918EV fully electric wheel loader.

Fonterra (F69) and Phoenix Metalman Recycling (E90) will also exhibit their E700s, says Landex director Ross Linton, expected to include Fonterra’s “Milk E” electric milk tanker and Phoenix’s heavy electric truck.

Hyundai New Zealand has the new Kona among about 40 vehicles it will display at Fieldays.

Alongside its electric Ioniq range, Hyundai plans to have a variety of powertrain options.

BYD has the new Dolphin and will feature at least another upcoming EV at its stand.

Electric bikes from XVOR Bikes are among the Fieldays innovation Award finalists which has nearly 50 entries in to win a prize package worth about $60,000, some likely to feature in the Fieldays Innovation Hub.

Toyota will have a hydrogen generator powering its Fieldays site..
