GWM drops Ora EV price

GWM-Ora-Good-Cat

Great Wall Motor has reduced prices on its Ora range in New Zealand to start from $47,990 recommended retail price (RRP).

The company says good volumes of the new Ora EV are coming into the country, so the price drop due to lower costs of battery materials and other factors will strengthen appeal for new car buyers and solidify Ora’s position as one of New Zealand’s best-value EVs.

The price drops from July’s beginning mean the GWM Ora Standard Range is $47,990 RRP, the GWM Ora Extended Range is $52,990 RRP and the GWM Ora GT is $58,990 RRP.

GWM says it will add a new Ultra grade to the Ora lineup, priced from $55,990 RRP.

The Ultra sits between the GWM Ora Extended Range and the GT, and GWM says its arrival soon is in response to strong initial customer demand and positive dealer feedback.

The new Ora Ultra offers additional comfort and convenience features over the Ora Extended Range. Features include electric hands-free tailgate, panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, six-way electric driver’s seat with memory, front seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions, and power adjustable, electric auto-folding mirrors with memory function.

EVs and Beyond featured the Ora in February 2023 and in September last year.

GWM has also dropped prices for the Haval Jolion Ultra Hybrid and H6 Hybrids.
