Nissan reveals Hyper Tourer concept
Nissan has unveiled the Nissan Hyper Tourer, the third in its series of advanced EV concepts to be featured at the Japan Mobility Show starting October 25.
Describing it as “the future of premium mobility” the electric minivan focuses on nurturing and reinforcing the bond between people as they journey together, says Nissan.
The minivan sports various advanced technologies, including autonomous driving, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) functionality and a high-capacity solid-state battery allowing electricity to be supplied to homes, stores, and offices.
Other details such as range and battery capacity are not yet provided.
The exterior has smooth body panels and sharp character lines.
The sides flow diagonally from the front to the rear fender for higher aerodynamic performance.
The white waistline serves as a headlight and signature lamp, while the kumiko-patterned wheels and the soft, straight body line create a premium feel, Nissan explains.

It has a spacious interior and fully autonomous driving enables the “driver” to focus on interacting with travel companions.
Front seats can swivel 360-degrees, allowing front- and rear-seat passengers to have face-to-face discussions.
Rear-seat passengers can use a wearable display to view and operate the navigation and audio on the front-seat centre display.
An AI system can monitor travellers’ biometric signs – including brain waves, heart rate, breathing and perspiration – and automatically select music and adjust the lighting to suit.
Nissan says the Hyper Tourer minivan will be physically displayed at the Japan show, open to the public from October 26 to November 5.
