Nissan Ariya EV arrives in NZ with pricing and lineup confirmed

Nissan’s electric Ariya SUV has finally arrived in New Zealand, its pricing and specifications revealed for the local market.

The Ariya will be available in three variants with a special pricing available to the end of March 2025.

Engage: This entry-level model features a single electric motor delivering 160kW power and 300Nm torque, coupled with a 63kWh battery, offering 398km claimed range. The Engage is priced at $76,990 with a special launch price of $59,990.

Advance: Sitting in the middle of the line-up, the Advance has the same powertrain but comes with upgraded features. It is listed at $82,990, but its launch pricing brings it down to $69,990.

Evolve: Topping the range, the Evolve is equipped with an 87kWh battery and a dual-motor setup producing 290kW power and 600Nm torque.

Nissan says the Evolve has impressive performance, with the all-wheel-drive model accelerating to 100km/h in 5.1 seconds (compared to 7.5 seconds for the front-wheel-drive version). It has a longer range of 497km and is priced at $109,990, with a special launch price of $89,990.

The Ariya supports a maximum DC fast-charging rate of 130kW and AC charging at up to 22kW.
