FleetPartners secures fourth consecutive Toitū net carbon zero certification

FleetPartners has achieved its fourth consecutive year of Toitū net carbon zero certification in New Zealand, marking continued progress in reducing emissions across its corporate operations.

The certification, which includes Scope 1, Scope 2 and selected upstream Scope 3 emissions, confirms the company has met the programme’s requirements for measuring, managing and offsetting greenhouse gas emissions. Toitū certification is independently audited each year under ISO 14064-1 and Toitū’s own standards.

FleetPartners New Zealand managing director Russell Webber says the milestone reflects the organisation’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.

“As New Zealand’s leading vehicle leasing and mobility solutions provider, we recognise our responsibility to drive sustainable change within our own operations and to help our customers do the same,” Webber says.

“This milestone reflects four years of continuous improvement, transparency, and real progress toward our goal of zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030.”

Since beginning its sustainability programme in 2021, FleetPartners has introduced several initiatives to reduce emissions, including transitioning its corporate fleet to low and zero-emission vehicles, supporting staff to adopt sustainable workplace practices, and securing renewable energy supply for office locations. These efforts have contributed to a 67 per cent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions compared with the company’s FY22 baseline.

Alongside its own initiatives, FleetPartners continues to assist business customers with fleet decarbonisation. Its “5 Step Journey to Carbon Zero” programme provides guidance on measurement, planning, implementation and reporting, helping organisations make data-driven decisions to reduce emissions while maintaining financial efficiency.
