Updated Zeekr X arrives with more power and equipment

Zeekr has confirmed pricing for its updated X electric SUV ahead of its New Zealand arrival in August, with the refreshed model bringing more performance and additional standard equipment despite only a small price increase.

The local line-up continues with two variants – the rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD).

The X RWD is priced from $59,990, while the X AWD is $69,990. Both models are $90 more expensive than the outgoing versions.

Measuring 4432mm long, 1836mm wide and 1566mm high, with a 2750mm wheelbase, the X sits below the larger Zeekr 7X in the brand’s New Zealand range.

Both variants use a 61kWh battery, delivering more than 400km of WLTP driving range.

The RWD model is powered by a single 250kW electric motor, while the AWD adds a 115kW front motor for a combined output of 365kW.

Zeekr says the updated powertrain delivers an additional 50kW of performance. The RWD completes the 0-100km/h sprint in 5.6 seconds, while the AWD cuts the time to 3.7 seconds.

The RWD model supports DC fast charging at up to 230kW, while the AWD has a maximum DC charging rate of 150kW.

The updated X also gains a range of new standard features. Both variants now include heated front and rear seats, inductive steering wheel controls and a 13-speaker Yamaha sound system.

The AWD adds massaging front seats and an integrated refrigerator as standard.

AWD buyers can also choose from several options, including electrically operated front doors, a matte green exterior finish, or a black interior with black 20-inch alloy wheels. Each option is priced at $2,000.
