AI-Day returns in March

A showcase on artificial intelligence (AI) will be held on March 27 and 28 at the ASB Waterfront Theatre in Auckland.

Hailed as New Zealand’s premier AI event, AI-Day 2019 includes a conference, workshops and an “AI for good” hackfest, all covering the widespread use of AI including in transport.

More than 650 business and technology leaders are expected for the demonstrations, panel discussions and presentations to learn more about the impact AI has in New Zealand and globally.

The 2018 event attended by in excess of 500 people was compered by Nanogirl Dr Michelle Dickinson and included autonomous shuttle developers Ohmio Automotion’s research and development coordinator Mahmood Hikmet among about 20 speakers.

Microsoft AI business vice-president Steve Guggenheimer also spoke.
