‘Apple Car’ picks up pace
Apple has hired two former Mercedes-Benz engineers as it reportedly increases its workforce to develop its “Apple Car” electric driverless vehicle.
The two previously worked at Mercedes, one focusing on mass production, vehicle steering, dynamics, and software and project management who is now working as a product design engineer for Apple’s “Special Projects Group,” while another has recently been invited to join, MacRumors reports.

The Apple Car autonomous vehicle codenamed “Project Titan” remains a mysterious subject, although Apple is known to have taken on many former major vehicle firm executives and engineers.
Apple is reportedly in talks with suppliers including Foxconn, and vehicle manufacturers such as Toyota, about partnerships.
An autonomous Apple Car is expected from about 2024.
