Arrow shot at Cybertruck

US commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan has posted a hilarious video of an interview with Tesla chief executive Elon Musk during which Rogan shoots an arrow into a Cybertruck’s side.

Well, he tries! Rogan saying the broadhead arrow from his 36.2kg (80 pound) bow barely “scratched” the Cybertruck but “destroyed” his arrow.

Musk walks past Rogan, who is showing what happened to his arrow, to inspect the Cybertruck’s side and the small scratch after betting Rogan the arrow wouldn’t penetrate.

At one stage Musk said he didn’t want to drive home with an arrow sticking out of the car.

He adds the Cybertruck is basically bullet-proof and that people couldn’t hide (from guns) behind a conventional car door – except in movies – as a bullet would pass through.

During the podcast, Musk mentions the Cybertruck weighs about 6000 to 7000 pounds (2.76 to 3.175 tonnes) and that shooting it in the side includes a “Tommy gun” (Thompson submachine gun), a shotgun and a nine-millimetre pistol.

Musk says he doesn’t want to give “too much away” – presumably ahead of the Cybertruck’s “delivery day” event on November 30.

Both men admitted liking Hawaiian pizza, with Musk ordering one.
