The first sod has been turned for stages two, three and four on Auckland’s $1.4 billion Eastern Busway project which will see electric buses carry around 30,000 people daily.

Minister of transport and minister for Auckland Michael Wood was joined by mayor Wayne Brown on Saturday to mark the milestone.
It means construction is underway for the transport project’s final stretch from Pakuranga towards Botany.
