Audi confirms electric sports car
Audi says its new electric sports car will enter production in 2027, earlier than expected, as the brand continues to expand its EV line-up.
The timeline was confirmed by chief executive Gernot Döllner during the brand’s recent annual conference.
The two-door coupe, currently known as the Concept C, takes clear design inspiration from the original TT and is expected to sit between the now-discontinued TT and R8 in Audi’s performance line-up.
Lead designer Massimo Frascella has signalled the model will retain a more traditional interior layout, with an emphasis on physical controls.

Tactile buttons are “very important,” he has previously said, adding that “big screens are not the best experience.”
Audi has yet to confirm drivetrain specifications, but the model is expected to be offered with either a single rear-mounted electric motor or a dual-motor all-wheel drive set-up.
The car is expected to deliver strong performance credentials, effectively positioning it as a successor to Audi’s previous sports models as the brand shifts further into electrification.
