Pure Hydrogen has presented its first hydrogen-powered rear-loading rubbish truck to Solo Resource Recovery in Victoria.

An open day held by Solo Resource Recovery in Clayton South was attended by some local government representatives.

Pure’s hydrogen rubbish truck will initially operate in West Torrens, Adelaide.

Australia Design Rule (ADR) approval has been given for this type of truck.

“The handover is a key achievement in Pure Hydrogen’s ongoing vehicle rollout strategy to promote sustainable waste management and reduce carbon emissions,” says Pure.

“The delivery of the hydrogen fuel cell waste collection truck is another important step in our continued efforts to expand the adoption of zero-emission vehicles within Australia’s heavy transport industry,” says Pure Hydrogen managing director Scott Brown.

“The sale agreement with Solo follows an extensive period of collaboration, and we are proud to support the City of West Torrens in its commitment to sustainable energy solutions for waste management.”
