BEVs fascinate at Christchurch expo
More than 3500 people attended the Take Charge Christchurch Expo which organisers hail “a great success” with “very positive feedback”.
Take Charge Events Limited delivered the expo on the weekend of November 25 and 26 to showcase the latest and greatest in battery electric vehicles (BEVs) to give the public the chance to see first-hand the vehicle technology available to make the switch from fossil-fuelled vehicles.
Visitors were really interested in seeing the latest BEV technology available as well as seeing EV chargers, a battery electric moped and battery electric outboard motors, says Take Charge Events Limited director Kevin Crutchley.
The free-to-attend expo was the biggest display of new BEVs in New Zealand, with 46 different models on display, he explains.
“BEV technology is advancing rapidly and it was great for the public to be able to see this for themselves, talk to the exhibitor experts, and see the excellent range of BEVs to choose from with a range of price points.”
