Bike Rave May 14

Dressed-up riders and e-bikes will be out in force for a “Bike Rave” in Auckland on Saturday May 14.

Tickets are free but organisers report about half have been snapped up already for the ride starting in Auckland city after 6pm (registration) along the Western Bike Path and finishing at Pt Chevalier about 7pm for a 90-minute “silent party” with George FM DJ Dan Aux.

The Bike Rave is a family event with children welcome and alcohol free, with complimentary fruit and non-alcoholic drinks available.

Those keen to attend but who can’t bring a bike may be able to book an e-bike or e-scooter free from Bike Rave supporter Beam. Other supporters include Auckland Transport, Bike Auckland and Interesting Things.

The rain date is May 21 and attendees are encouraged to wear masks and follow other COVID procedures.
