BMW NZ celebrating all year

BMW New Zealand will be celebrating its past by looking forward – with new vehicle launches and a move towards electric.

BMW this week celebrated 100 years, releasing the Vision Next 100 concept, but nothing specific marked the day here.

“In New Zealand we are going to be doing a number of activities for the year, one of the parameters being looking forward to the next 100 years,” says BMW spokesperson Edward Finn, indicating much of that will be around new porch.

“For this year we have spoken about ten new vehicles – some engine updates and product enhancement,” he says. “Of those models there will be a steer towards electric and PHEV.”

Globally, BMW has celebrated by laying out its plans for the ‘Next 100 years’ – a future leaning towards electric, technology and autonomy.
