Conference to explain how to reduce emissions

Reducing New Zealand’s emissions will step up in 2019, with transport expected to play a key role as more zero emissions vehicles become available.
So expert local and international speakers will talk about how to make emissions reductions at the Energy Management Association of New Zealand (EMANZ) conference in Wellington on May 29 and 30.
The conference will also consider how to improve sustainability performance and energy productivity.
Announcements of a Carbon Zero Act, a review of the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme and a Productivity Commission enquiry helped launch discussions around emissions in 2018.
The 2019 EMANZ conference will consider making emissions reductions happen, with organisers saying it’s a must attend event for energy, carbon and sustainability managers in both the public and private sectors.
Speaker announcements will be made early in 2019.
The conference will be held at Wellington’s Harbourside Function Venue.
