Drive EV collecting new Nissan Ariya

Drive EV’s Steve Greenwood says he and fellow EV enthusiast Ned van Geffen will collect a new Nissan Ariya on July 15, driving from Auckland back to Taupo the next day.

They’ll collect the EV – which is not for sale at this stage – with Drive EV’s “Hulk” Tesla Model S delivery tow car and trailer.

“We are more than happy for people to come along and have a look at the new Ariya and Hulk, our towing Tesla Model S, along the way,” Greenwood says on the NZ EV Owners Facebook page.

“We plan to stop at the Auckland (Greenlane), Hamilton, Tauranga and Rotorua chargers on our way back to Drive EV.”

Greenwood says a full Ariya road trip with set stops is planned early next month.

He encourages those who want a first look at the Ariya to visit the Drive EV Facebook page on Friday and Saturday to “stalk us as we travel south”.
