Electric gadget trade-in for VW EV
Discounts on new EVs seem to be coming thick and fast.
Volkswagen New Zealand is offering a $14,000 discount off its electric ID. range, telling prospective customers they can swap any electrical item (like a cake mixer or old fax machine) at a local VW dealer to get the discount before November 30 this year.
Under the “Volkswagen Electric Trade-In” scheme people can get a new VW SUV from $65,975, says VW NZ, adding that traded items will be donated to charity or sustainably recycled.
Meanwhile, LDV NZ has cut the price of its eT60 electric ute from $79,990 to $72,975 – effectively making it available for about $65,960 with the $7015 Clean Car rebate.
The offer applies to October 31 and includes zero % interest over 48 months on all LDV NZ’s EV vans and utes during its latest stock clearance.
Other EV discounts and offers include the new Nissan Leaf, another VW NZ discount off the ID.4 Pro, BYD New Zealand throwing in a free charger with any new Atto 3 or Dolphin purchase, and Hyundai New Zealand offering a free five-year EV care package with a new Kona, Ioniq 5 or Ioniq 6.
