Electricarna to be ‘best yet’

About 30 EVs will be displayed at “the best Electricarna event yet” on Saturday April 22 in New Plymouth, says organiser the Better NZ Trust.

“There will be an EV on display for everyone,” says the trust.  

Electricarna will have the LDV eT60 ute, Ford Mustang Mach-E, a range of Nissan Leafs, all Tesla models, the BYD Atto 3, Polestar 2, Kia EV6, Mini Electric, BMW i3, Hyundai Kona and Ioniq 5, MG ZS EV, Porsche Taycan, and the Opel Mokka-e and Opel Corsa-e.

YouTuber Gavin Shoebridge is bringing a new high-performance EV from Auckland while a custom-built EV racing car will join the display, the trust explains, adding its “Easter Road Trip” drivers will be there too after leaving Auckland on April 17.

Food stands and a bouncy castle for children will also be available at Electricarna at Tasman Prospect Park near the wind wand from 10am to 2pm.

“This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to see EVs in Taranaki,” says the trust.
