Electro mobility Auckland event in October

The New Zealand Electro Mobility Summit and Expo is on again on October 16 and 17 at the Auckland Showgrounds in Greenlane.

The annual event was last held at The Cloud on Auckland’s waterfront in September 2023 and is organised by Brightstar.

The 2024 summit will be opened by Retyna managing director Liz Yeaman and includes more than 20 sessions.

Speakers include Ministry of Transport secretary for transport and chief executive Audrey Sonerson, Drive Electric chair Kirsten Corson, ChargeNet chief executive Danusia Wypych, TransNet e-mobility division manager Glenn Inkster, Smartrak innovation manager Dr Sharlene Smith, Auckland Transport principal sustainability advisor Sandra Murray, Auckland Council lead transport advisor Michael Roth, EV Maritime chief executive Michael Eaglen, Z Energy business energy solutions head Rebecca Wilson, Richard Briggs from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA), Schneider Electric’s Jack Brown, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) NZ’s Armin Guttke, Infinitev NZ branch manager Graeme Cochrane, Drive Electric director and UBCO executive chair Katherine Sandford, and Scania New Zealand e-mobility representative Alfons Reitsma.

The 2023 event included more than 500 attendees, at least 40 speakers and more than 30 exhibitors, including Hayden Paddon’s Hyundai EV rally car for which he says developments are ongoing and he expects to be involved in some events in September and October.
